The garden is beautiful. However, it just because we went to zoo first and spent almost a day there, the kids were tired enough and we couldnt enjoy the garden very much. It would be better if you go on a separate day if you were with the kids.

Free entrance, but looked like nothing is working. I visited it in April, to be honest, there was nothing to see, besides the front building and the fountain. Maybe the period was not good.

A evening walk is so nice. Maybe a better place in summer or spring. In autumn most of the flowers and leaves are falling so bit sad ??

If you're into plants, this is a place to be. But you don't have to be interested in the different species to enjoy this place. It's quiet, calm and scenic. Take your mind off things and just stroll through. You won't be disappointed!

Really good place to spend some time walking and enjoying the view of the garden. A palace like building situates at the center of the garden which was closed during my visit. The entry to the garten is free. Safe place for kids to walk and play around there. Recommended to visit in summer time when all the flowers are bloomed.

Absolutely worth going there while visiting Cologne. Beautiful flowers and trees and there is no entrance fee.

Beautiful park and a nice change of pace from the sheer amount of people. It's very easy to get to on the 16 tram and is only a few stops. The entry is free and it's a welcomed respite!

walking in the beautiful garden by plain air and not able to smell the plants, flowers and earth, because of this piece of mask = really sad

This was my second visit since I moved around. Last time in June there were plenty of roses and it was just gorgeous from the entrance itself. This time there was a Camelia exposition ongoing. For those who love flowers it is definitely worth a visit. So many different species could be seen. Even without the flowers, the garden provides a nice walk. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and all the plants are labeled so it can also be educational too.

Calm area, lots of plants, trees from various locations around the globe. Fresh area with lots of shadows to refresh from the sun. Wood seats all around the park, so you can relax and enjoy the view. You can Also find some animals too!

Lush botanical gardens and beautiful plants collection for a nice weekend outdoors with family and friends. The side cafe provides you a picnic basket which is cute and can be enjoyed in the park.

I gotta really love this place. Its free and pretty. If you just want to walk around, you'd have to spend about an hour to enjoy the sights. If you are lucky, there are some (free) guided tours offered in this botanical garden.
The best time should be all the year round except for end of April to May as they are changing replanting new flowers.

Free place to see various plants and flowers. Make sure to go while most flowers are in bloom. I've visited botanical gardens before. This one was alot bigger, though less compact. Quite enjoyed it.

Beautiful gardens at the Botanical Gardens, plenty of roses, flowers, and shrubs to see here. Large fountains, sunny and shaded areas, benches can be found here.

Such a wonderful Camellia exhibition. This is a rare and very beautiful collection and so wonderful to visit. Still open til April 7th. However a lot of blossoms will bloom soon!

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens I have ever seen. A definite must-have-seen when you visit the city of Cologne. The main building is restored and in a perfect shape. The plants are most beautiful during spring and summer time. There is a small cafe next to the main building with good cakes and the zoo is on the opposite side of the road. You can reach "Flora" by the tram within 10 minutes from the cathedral.

Absolutly beautiful, I won't see a reason why you won't visit this place. It is perfect for morning / afternoon walks. For those interested it is free of charge. A very beautifully aranged gardens!

Such a beautiful place, so large and full of pretty things! Free entry means it's a lovely place to go now and then however I was on holiday with my boyfriend meaning we only visited once. It adds a romantic feel to your day and we even had fun running under the water sprinklers!

First it looked closed, but then it was just free to enter. The gardens are nice, so are the greenhouses. Nice walk, good statues, a lot of shadows. What is outstanding is the food and the related service. You get everything nicely packed in bags with bottle openers attached, you can take a blanket and have a real picnic feel.

Restaurant available with nice theme as a picnic where you can take food jars in a basket & enjoy it anywhere in the park .

Amazing park, you can see beautiful trees, flowers and when you are done you can go to the food truck and eat a incredible Kuchen with a beer.
